We start our adventure at The Grand Opera House. This opera house was established in 1894 making it an important landmark of note for not just Galveston, but the entire state of Texas. The grand was named "The Official Opera House of Texas" in 1973 by Texas Legisture. The Opera House was built in 1894 from an amazing $100,000 in investments by prominient Galvestonians.  The Grand has had many famous vistors in its time. The 2013 season kicks off with performances by the incredibly talented famous actor, tv star, and writer - William Shatner! Enjoy The Addams Family as the show takes stage June 21st. Shows range in type from comedians, singers and full on performances ensuring that The Grand continues its history of captivating a variety of audiences time and again.

Continue your experience at Galveston Arts Center. The Galveston Arts Center features contemporary visual arts from all over Texas. The fulltime staff stages around 25 art exhibitions from both up and coming and well established artists each year, ensuring that there is always something new to see. The GAC provides important art outreach programs to hospitalized children and elderly nursing home residents. Visit the museum shop to support both local artists and the museum's cause!

Step off the beaten trail with a ghost tour from Dash Beadsley, the "Ghost Man of Galveston". Dash is a paranormal expert who has been feature in many popular shows and public media such as the Associated Press, and Disney Travel. Dash provides a number of tours around Galveston providing an enriching educating tour of the supernatural. Several walking tours are provided as well as a riding tour for guests with travel concerns.
